Mooseheads in the pros

Thanks to John Moore for some of these quick statistics. There are a few former Halifax Moosehead players that are in the pros this season.

Nathan MacKinnon is the biggest story. In September, Colorado Avalanche coach Patrick Roy announced that MacKinnon would be staying in the National Hockey League all year. Nate has seven points in nine games. He had a fight in his first ever NHL game and scored his first pro goal on October 12th versus Washington. With his goal he also has 6 assists.

Stephen MacAulay is playing in the East Coast Hockey League and has an assist in two games played with the Wheeling Nailers. Konrad Abeltshauser has no points in four games played with the Worcester Sharks but has 10 shots. Stefan Fournier is currently out with an ankle injury suffered from a Hamilton Bulldogs team event. He has 0 points in 1 game played. Marty Frk has 0 points with the Grand Rapids Griffins in two games played.

Four year former Moose player Pascal Amyot is currently playing for the Saint Mary's Huskies hockey team while Stephen Gillard and Anthony Terenzio plays for the Huskies rivals, the Dalhousie Tigers.
