GAMEDAY 9: at Sherbrooke

IT'S GAMEDAY
SHERBROOKE PHOENIX vs. HALIFAX MOOSEHEADS
Puck drops at 8:00pm
Palais de Sports Leopold-Drolet (3,646) ~ Sherbrooke, QC

PREVIEW - The return of 2012-13 leading scorer Jonathan Drouin could not help the Halifax  Mooseheads on Tuesday as they came out of Saint John on the losing side. Drouin was unable to collect any points in his return to Halifax from Tampa Bay Lightning training camp on Sunday. He did however get into penalty trouble taking a roughing penalty in the first period and then a hooking penalty in the third.

This is the start of a 3 game in 3 nights Quebec road trip. The team will look to get back to winning ways and maybe finally spending some time together away from home is exactly what the Mooseheads needed. The chemistry between the whole team has been lacking but chemistry between certain players has not. Nikolaj Ehlers keeps collecting points with the aid of Andrew Ryan and Brent Andrews. The Herd has spent the last 3 days in the Quebec city shopping, watching NHL games in their hotel rooms and enjoying time together.

This is the second and last meeting between these two teams. In the last meeting, the Phoenix took a 22 save performance by Francis Desrosiers and goals from Jeremy Roy and Daniel Audette to a 2-1 win over Halifax only 5 days ago.

THE NUMBERS

Leading scorers
SHE: Daniel Audette (2G, 7A, 9 PTS), Jeremy Roy (3G, 2A, 5 PTS), William Couture (1G, 3A, 4 PTS)
HAL: Nikolaj Ehlers (5G, 3A, 8 PTS), Andrew Ryan (4G, 4A, 8 PTS), Brent Andrews (1G, 6A, 7 PTS)

LAST GAMES
Sherbrooke's last game was 5 days ago when they took on the Moose in Halifax. Rookie Jeremy Roy and Daniel Audette had the goals while Francis Desrosiers made 22 saves in the Phoenix's 2-1 win.

Nikolaj Ehlers added two more points to his team leading total but that didn't help Halifax beat the Saint John Sea Dogs on the road on Tuesday. Zach Fucale stopped 21 pucks but couldn't hold off a third period rally by the Dogs.
