Former Moose on AHL Opening Rosters

There are a few former Halifax Mooseheads who are listed on American Hockey League opening rosters. Stefan Fournier, Konrad Abeltshauser and Marty Frk will be playing in the AHL this season with the posibilty that they could be called up to the big league. Stephen MacAulay is most likely to play for the Wheeling Nailers of the ECHL after being cut by the Hamilton Bulldogs.

This really is no surprise that these three boys are playing in the AHL to start the season. They would've had to play really really good to make their respective National Hockey League teams.

Here is a list of where Moose players from last season and have been drafted or contracted by the NHL are playing this year to start the month of October:
Jonathan Drouin (*Tampa) - Halifax QMJHL
Marty Frk (*Detroit) - Grand Rapids AHL
Nathan MacKinnon (*Colorado) - Colorado NHL
Matt Murphy (^St. Louis) - Halifax QMJHL
Zach Fucale (*Montreal) - Halifax QMJHL
Stefan Fournier (^Montreal) - Hamilton AHL
Andrew Ryan (^Philadelphia) - Halifax QMJHL
Brent Andrews (`Anaheim) - Halifax QMJHL
Konrad Abeltshauser (*San Jose) - Worcester AHL
MacKenzie Weegar (*Florida) - Halifax QMJHL
Stephen MacAulay (`Montreal) - Wheeling ECHL
Trey Lewis (^Calgary) - Halifax QMJHL

* drafted by that team, ^ camp invite/signed contract, ` drafted by another team
