It was the latest preview of what is probably going to be a first round series in this years playoffs. The first half of the game wasn't as exciting as the games between these two teams normally are. It was a physical game with lots of hard hits and only 3 fights all in the second half of the game. After the buzzer, Saint John's Saab didn't want the game to end as he ended up receiving 2 roughing penalties in a scrum at the end of the game. There was also plenty of traffic in front of both nets mainly in front of Sebastien Augar. During one scrum, after saving the puck from going in the net on a in close MacKinnon shot, Augar pushed Nate with his blocker and a little scuffle insued.
Notes: This was Coach Ducharme's 100th career win as a junior coach... All the penalties were roughing, hooking, holding, slashing and tripping penalties... No one's streak ended tonight as Drouin pushed his to 29 games and MacKinnon and Ashley pushed theirs to 12 and 15 games respectively...
