The Mooseheads have beaten their own attendance record this season. The past record, which was set in the 1999-2000 season, was an average 8,453 fans a night. With 7 sellouts and another two nights of over 10,000 fans, Halifax has averaged 8,686 hockey gurus a game this season. With the Metro Centre being host to the CHL/NHL top prospects game this year, the sellout on that night January 16 was not included in the average attendance.
Last season's average attendance was 6,608. A jump from the 2010-11 season and the first season in four years to not have declined.
