SAINT JOHN - The number 1 ranked team in the CHL will have a chance to move on to the second round for the second straight year tomorrow night if they win. They have also pushed the reigning President's Cup champions to the brink of elimination after winning tonight in a much better offensively game 3 for Halifax. Both teams got into penalty trouble tonight as 5 players got unsportsmanlike conduct penalties. Stephen MacAulay, who was playing for the first time in the playoffs not as a Sea Dog, received a game misconduct for checking from behind. He may not play tomorrow in Game 4.

MacAulay scored the first goal of the game and scored another one early in the second to pretty much put this game away as he made it 4-0 in the middle frame. Jonathan Drouin also scored his first 2 goals of the playoffs as the top line was not held off the scoresheet again tonight. Detroit Red Wings prospect Marty Frk scored is league leading 6th goal of the playoffs. Detroit seems to have picked a very good player in Frk, hopefully we'll see him play in the NHL soon.
