Media'Caps: Mooseheads 6, Sea Dogs 1

Here is a collection of recaps from last night's 6-1 win over the Saint John Sea Dogs...

My recap: The number 1 ranked team in the CHL will have a chance to move on to the second round for the second straight year tomorrow night if they win.

The Chronicle Herald's recap: A change of venue did little to alter the course of the playoff series between the Halifax Mooseheads and Saint John Sea Dogs.

Metro Halifax's recap: Sebastien Auger was merely human on this night, so the Saint John Sea Dogs got pummeled.

SaintJohnSeaDogs.com's recapThe Saint John Sea Dogs have been pushed to the edge of elimination as the Halifax Moosheads took a 6-1 decision in Game 3 of their opening round series in the 2013 President Cup playoffs.

HalifaxMooseheads.com's recapThe Mooseheads are in control.

TSN.ca's recap: The Halifax Mooseheads are in control of their QMJHL first-round series against Saint John.

MISSING IN ACTION: Brennan Bailey (healthy), Ryan Falkenham (concussion), Max Lindsay (healthy) and Liam Alcalde (healthy) were scratched for Halifax. Jeremy Doucet, Michael Abbott and Stephen Anderson didn't play for Saint John.

MACAULAY: Stephen MacAulay returned to his former home rink yesterday as the away team for the first time in the playoffs. He spent more then 4 years as a Dog and won 3 regular season championships, 2 President's Cups and a Memorial Cup playing for Saint John. MacAulay scored the first goal of the game against his former team last night. He scored a second goal to make it a 4-0 game early in the second period.

DROUIN: Jonathan Drouin finally scored his first goal of the playoffs yesterday in Game 3 so he now has 8 points in three games.

SAAB: Saint John player Ian Saab was back in the Sea Dog lineup after serving his one game suspension in Game 2 on Saturday for his high stick on Halifax's Drouin in the opening game.

FRK: Marty Frk was named before the game the CHL Player of the Week. In 2 playoff games this past weekend, Frk recorded 8 points all in Game One. He scored 5 goals and assisted on three others.

CROWD: It was a very small crowd last night as there was a little more then a third of the seats filled at Harbour Station. The Station holds 6,200 people while seated. Only 2,795 fans took in the game with a handful of them being Moose fans.

SHOTS: Saint John was once again out shot by a big margin last night however they had the most shots that they have had so far in the playoffs with 21.
