WJC: Swedes Too Much For Danes

Venue: Air Canada Centre

RECAP - Nikolaj Ehlers and Team Denmark have now lost two in a row. An experienced and dominant hockey country in Team Sweden was just too much for the Danes, who have not played in the Top Division U20 World Championships since the 2012 tournament. Both teams came out fast and hard in the first period but a couple of powerplays gave Sweden most of the offensive zone coverage and they were able to get a couple of soft goals past Danish goalie Georg Sorenson to ride it all the way to a win. Denmark plays a fast game which might have been their downfall in the second half of this game as well, being mentally fatigued and making small mistakes not allowing them to recover the goal deficit. Both teams will have a day off now.
