Centre 200 (5,000) ~ Sydney, NS

After a ten day Christmas break, your Mooseheads were back in Halifax last night just long enough to jump on the team bus and drive to Sydney to take on the Cape Breton Screaming Eagles tonight. This will be the first game that newly acquired Eric Brassard will be dressed in the red, green and white. Could Eagles fans see him in nets for this first game back after the holiday break? No word yet from the Herd who will start tonight's game. Halifax will be looking to make some more room between them and the Charlottetown Islanders in the division standings and get closer to the Saint John Sea Dogs. Cape Breton is just looking to get in a playoff spot during the second half of the season.

This is the fifth game between these two teams this season. Both teams are 2-2-0-0 against the other team during this year's series. Cape Breton won the last meeting 3-2 with Cameron Darcy leading the Eagles recording 2 assists in the win, and Kevin Resop making 19 saves taking the loss for the Mooseheads.

Overall Records
Mooseheads: 17-15-2-1 = 37 points (3rd in Maritimes division, 10th overall)
