Two months after the derailment of a train passing through Lac-Megantic, Quebec, the Sherbrooke Phoenix and the 17 other teams of the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League have donated $31,061 to the Lac-Megantic Support Fund.
On Friday, the Phoenix were taking on the Blainville-Boisbriand Armada with ticket funds going to the cause. The ticket prices were $10 for the upper level and $20 for the lower level. The game raised $13,061 itself while each of the 18 teams donated a thousand dollars.
