NHL Camp updates

FRK
According to eliteprospects.ca, Martin Frk will be playing for the Grand Rapids Griffins this season. This was also said in an article on MLive.com saying that Frk will join the Griffins when the Detroit Red Wings tournament ends next week. The Wings took on the Minnesota Wild last night in both teams' first game of the tournament and went on to win 3-1. Marty recorded no points, and had an even +/- rating. Frk and the Wings will take on the Dallas Stars tonight.

MURPHY
Matt Murphy played his first game in an NHL sweater suiting uo for the St. Louis Blues as they took on the Dallas Stars in Traverse. Murphy had no points, a -1 rating and one shot in a 5-2 Blues loss last night. Murphy and St. Louis will now take on the Minneosta Wild rookies tongiht.

ABELTSHAUSER
Defenseman Konrad Abeltshauser scored last night in a 3-2 San Jose Sharks loss to the host Vancouver Canucks. Konrad scored at 12:29 in the 3rd period to tie the game at 2. He finished the night with the goal, a -2 rating and 4 shots. He and the Sharks will look to rebound today when they take on the Winnipeg Jets.

MACKINNON
The Colorado Avalanche had a Q&A article with Nathan MacKinnon yesterday. MacKinnon will only be participating in practices with the other rookies during the 3 day camp which starts Sunday.

MONTREAL
Zach Fucale, Stefan Fournier and Stephen MacAulay will all be on the ice today taking in team practices. There will be a team scrimmage tomorrow evening and again on Sunday. The roster has been broken down into two teams, no word on who is on what team.

RYAN/ANDREWS
Andrew Ryan was on the ice this morning with the Philadelphia Flyers practicing with the rookies. Brent Andrews, who I did not put on my first post, has been invited to the Anaheim Ducks rookie camp. The Ducks were on the ice this morning and yesterday. They will play the LA Kings tomorrow in the SoCal Futures Game. Ryan continues practices tomorrow with the club.
