Nate records 3 assists as Avs win

He's got his first career playoff point. He also has his second and third ones too. As the Colorado Avalanche had to comeback from a 4-2 deficit in the third period, the former Halifax Mooseheads player's friends in Denver Jamie McGinn and Ryan O'Reilly made it a one goal game about 7 minutes in. He than set up a nice goal by the veteran Paul Statsny with a behind the net pass to Statsny with 14 seconds left in the third period to send the game to overtime. MacKinnon would go on to finish the night with 3 assists, including a helper on Statsny's game winner in overtime.

That's a pretty good first career playoff game and the people thought so too as Nate was named the third star of the game. His finals stats were 3 assists, a +3 rating, 3 shots and 2 penalty minutes in 22:34 total ice time. Read NHL.com's recap here.

Congrats Nathan on an awesome game! Keep it going.
