Mooseheads alumni Nathan MacKinnon was held pointless in last night's Colorado Avalanche Game 3 of the 2014 Stanley Cup playoffs against the Minnesota Wild. In 22 minutes and 8 seconds of ice time last night, MacKinnon had 3 shots and won about 28% of his faceoffs that he took.
He wasn't the only player held without a point in yesterday's game that was played in St. Paul, Minnesota. The two teams played through 60 minutes of scoreless action before Mikael Grunland scored at the 5:08 mark of the first overtime period to win the game for the Wild and put them back in the series with the 1-0 OT win. The Avalanche now lead the first round series 2 games to 1 game. Game 4 will be on Thursday once again in Minnesota.
