WJC: Meier Helps Swiss Avoid Relegation

Venue: Air Canada Centre

RECAP: Switzerland will not be relegated for the 2016 WJHC tournament after winning 2 games in the best-of-3 relegation round. Current Halifax Mooseheads player Timo Meier played a role in the two victories. He had a goal and two assists in the deciding game on Saturday night in Toronto. Both games had the same outcome. It was the only match-up yesterday evening. This means that Germany has been relegated to Division 1A group play at next year's tournament.
