Mooseheads Sign Free Agent Hunter

The Halifax Mooseheads announced today that they have made an addition to the team. Halifax has signed Ontario free agent Sam Hunter. The 17 year old will join the team this weekend at home when the team welcomes the Gatineau Olympiques on Friday night. In 31 games played during the 2012-13 season with the Mississauga Senators, Hunter recorded 16 points with 36 penalty minutes. At 6'2", he'll add more size to the Mooseheads defense core. He currently plays for the St. Michael's Buzzers of the Ontario Junior Hockey League, recording 2 assists and 43 penalty minutes in 29 games this season.



ARGENTO CALLED UP 
Halifax announced yesterday that they have called up rookie defenceman Domenico Argento for this weekend's games. The 16 year old has played in 31 games for Rousseau Royal de Laval - Montreal and has 22 points (11 goals & 11 assists). The Mooseheads drafted the six-foot-two Montreal native 74th overall in the 2014 QMJHL entry draft.
