WJC: Denmark's Cinderella Story Ends Against Canada

Venue: Air Canada Center

RECAP - They came in as underdogs and for the first 25 minutes, George Sorenson fought hard to keep his team in the game. Canada were a lot hungrier and tougher than Team Denmark, with Curtis Lazar scoring twice en route to a 8-0 win. Former Halifax Mooseheads player Zach Fucale received the call for this game and was not tested much by a pesky Danish team but recorded a second shutout in the 2015 tournament. Current Herd member, Nikolaj Ehlers was Denmark's second best player recording 4 shots and a minus-1 rating. The victory gives Canada a match-up against Slovakia in Sunday's semi-finals. The Danes tournament is done for the year but they will be staying in the top division for next year.
