Ehlers Named 3rd Star

The QMJHL has released its three stars of the week for January 5-11, 2015 and Halifax Mooseheads forward Nikolaj Ehlers was given the 3rd star. In a 6-3 victory over the Gatineau Olympiques, Ehlers scored a hat trick to help the team in his return from the World Juniors. He recorded a total of 4 goals and 2 assists in two game played this past weekend, both wins. Nik was also a plus-5 this week.

This weekend's games give Ehlers 20 goals and 53 points in 25 games played this season. That's good enough for thirteenth overall in Q scoring. 

He joins Evgeni Svechnikov of the Cape Breton Screaming Eagles and Shawinigan Catractes' Gabriel Slight. Svechnikov had 3 goals and 6 assists in 3 games with a plus-4. Slight also scored three goals and collected 7 points in two games.
