GAMEDAY 26: at Charlottetown

IT'S GAMEDAY
CHARLOTTETOWN ISLANDERS vs. HALIFAX MOOSEHEADS

PREVIEW - Since the last meeting Halifax has taken over the Islanders for the Maritime division lead and Charlottetown is going the total opposite direction than they were in late October. The Mooseheads will look to gain even more room from the Isles tonight when they visit the Eastlink Centre.


This is the third meeting this season between these two divisional teams. They met about 3 weeks ago in Halifax with the Herd coming out on top 4 to 2. Darcy Ashley scored 2 goals and an assist while Zach Fucale made 22 saves.

LAST GAMES
Both teams are coming off wins over the Drummondville Voltigeurs. Charlottetown defeated the Volts on Wednesday night at the Eastlink Centre by a score of 4 to 1. Daniel Sprong added to his team lead by scoring a goal and helping on two others while Antoine Bibeau stopped 29 of 30 shots he faced.

Drummondville than travelled to Halifax and were defeated 5-2 with the Moose scoring five unanswered goals. The comeback by the Herd was powered by plenty of chances on the powerplay, 2 goals by Darcy Ashley (who added an assist) and a rebounded Zach Fucale in the last 40 minutes.
