The Halifax Mooseheads announced today that there will be a Season Ticket and 15-game packs holder pick up event again this year.
Fans who bought season tickets and 15 game packs can pick them up in the Metro Centre lobby on Wednesday September 4th from 6-8pm. The Mooseheads also announced that during the event, fans can meet the players and get autographs as well as take pictures of the two Cups they won back in May. With winning the Memorial Cup as national champs, the Halifax players received a championship ring. The team announced that each fan who bought a season ticket or 15 game pack will receive a replica version of the ring. If you purchased more then one seat don't worry you will get a ring per seat.
Halifax also announced that they will for sure raise a banner for both championships in a pre-game ceremony before the home opener on September 12th. The first 8,000 fans will get a commemorative banner poster to mark the event.
The Herd will also be wearing a special 20th anniversary jersey at different times throughtout the season. The jersey will be revealed on September 28th during the President's Cup finals rematch game versus the Baie-Comeau Drakkar.
I was wondering if Halifax was going to do this after I saw the Portland Winterhawks ring from when they won the WHL championship. A very nice thing for them to do and it is such an awesome way for the Mooseheads and the city to kick of their 20th season. The final roster than must be going to be announced sometime this weekend or early next week after the team battles provincial rivals Cape Breton on Friday night (look for my preview tomorrow).
