CANADA SKATES TO GOLD

Dominique Ducharme is a winner once again.

After leading the Halifax Mooseheads to a Quebec league championship and a national championship in May as head coach, Dom has won gold at the 2013 Ivan Hlinka tournament as assistant coach with Team Canada.

The win was Canada's 6th straight gold medal at the special U18 tournament. It was their 18th gold of all time at the Ivan Hlinka Memorial tournament. The team shutout Team USA 4-0 with goals coming from Michael Dal Colle (Oshawa Generals, OHL), Jayce Hawryluk (Brandon Wheat Kings, WHL), Aaron Ekblad (Barrie Colts, OHL) and Brendan Lemieux (Barrie Colts, OHL). Julio Bullia was in net for Canada and made 21 saves in the shutout.

Congrats to Canada.
