BREAKING: Titan Prospect Passes Away at Camp

An Acadie-Bathurst Titan prospect has passed away after collapsing while on the ice during an individual training session. The Titan announced early this morning on Twitter "due to uncontrollable circumstances all rookie camp activities are cancel for today." It sent up some questions, when I asked what happened they said "@MC_MooseCountry We can't say anything at the moment." and replied to Chris Phillips saying "a little bit of respect guys.... something aweful happen!"

This came from the press release.
It is with deep regret that the Acadie-Bathurst Titan announces the death of one of its young prospects, Jordan Boyd. The 16 year-old was skating during an individual training session when hi suffered a discomfort and collapsed on the ice. The Acadie-Bathurst Titan medical team tried to revive him several times. The young player was transported to hospital where his death was confirmed by a doctor.

The Ligue was informed of the incident and is working in collaboration with the team to bring the necessary support to the parents and players in these difficult times. Jordan Boyd had had a complete medical evaluation prior to the camp and didn't seem to have any medical problems that prevented him from participating. We are waiting for the hospital's autopsy to determine the exact cause of death. We offer our deepest condolences to his loved ones.

In order to protect his family's privacy, the organization will not emit any further comments on this case for the moment.
Jordan Boyd is from Bedford, Nova Scotia and spent most of last season with Rothesay Netherwood School in Rothesay, NB. He was selected in the fourth round during the 2013 QMJHL draft two months ago.

My prayers and thoughts go out to the family and friends of this young player.
