RECAP: Eagles Force Split

SYDNEY - The Halifax Mooseheads were looking for a weekend sweep against the Cape Breton Screaming Eagles but another strong performance by Eagles goaltender Miguel Sullivan gave the Herd a split. Cape Breton's win gives them their second home and home series split against the Mooseheads this season. The home team has won all 4 games so far during the 2014-15 season. After a scoreless first period, Halifax scored the first goal of the game but they were unable to keep the 1-0 lead going into the third period being down 2-1 after 40 minutes. Matt Murphy closed the gap with just over 5 minutes left in regulation to make it a 3-2 game but despite pressing the Eagles late in the period, the Moose were unable to come up with it's third straight win.
