Ehlers named 2nd star

It's Monday which means another unveiling of the QMJHL stars of the week. A Halifax Mooseheads player was listed after the team collected two weekend wins against a couple of really good teams.

Nikolaj Ehlers, the Danish superstar that was drafted 9th overall in the 2014 NHL draft, was named 2nd star of the week for the week of November 17-23. Ehlers picked up a goal and 3 assists in the Mooseheads 8-2 win over the league's best Rimouski Oceanic on Saturday. He followed that performance with the game winner and an assist in Halifax's 4-3 victory over the Moncton Wildcats. He finished the week with a plus-4 rating. 

The QMJHL named Adam Erne of the Quebec Remparts the first star while Anthony Richard of the Val-d'Or Foreurs was named the third star.
