Scotiabank Centre (10,595) ~ Halifax, NS
It all comes down to this. While both teams in today's matchup already have clinched spots in the playoffs, where exactly they will end in the standings will be determined based on the results of this evening's games around the league. A few positions are set in stone but there are no post-season matchups determined as there normally is by the last day. For our Halifax Mooseheads it's fan appreciation day as they take on the Charlottetown Islanders. The Herd will also be honouring their three 20 year olds this afternoon. Note the time, the match was originally scheduled for a 7pm start but Sportsnet announced this would be the last game on their CHL Saturday Showcase schedule meaning it is now a 4:30pm puck drop. There will be a sold-out crowd at the Scotiabank Centre, just the second of the year after last night's attendance was announced as 10,595. Matches between Charlottetown and the Moose this season have been close sometimes even though Halifax has won all but one against the Islanders. We should be in for a good one so check it out on television if you weren't able to get tickets.
This is the ninth and final game between these two teams this season. Halifax is 7-1-0-0 against the Islanders while Charlottetown has a 1-6-1-0 record versus the Mooseheads. The two met last a month ago on Sportsnet as well with Halifax taking a 3-0 win led by Raphael Lavoie who scored two goals.
