Memorial Cup update

All four teams in the Memorial Cup Championship are now 1-1-0. This happened after Portland beat the London Knights for their first win of the tournament. It was London's first loss after they beat Saskatoon on Friday. Because of this two teams will end 2-1 and the other two will be 1-2 after three round robin games. Since there won't be two tie breaker games, if Halifax wins tonight against London and Portland beats Saskatoon tomorrow night, the Mooseheads will go straight to the finals and than there would be a tiebreaker game between Saskatoon and London to determine who will be third. If Saskatoon wins and the Moose still win tonight than the host Blades will go straight to the final and Halifax will have to play in the Semifinal game.

In other news....
  • Halifax had a day off yesterday and becuase it was nice in Saskatoon they went to the batting cages and to a mini putt course.
  • On Sunday, the Summerside Western Capitals lost in the RBC Championship game on home ice against the Brooks Bandits. It was Brooks first national championship. The Bandits are from Alberta.
