Memorial Cup update

The Herd have been busy already at the 2013 Memorial Cup in Saskatoon. They left on a charter flight just before noon Atlantic time yesterday to head to the host city. The team landed about 3pm and were greeted by media on the tarmac. The other two teams left their respective cities a little before Halifax landed considering they are closer.

Last night was the 'Meet the Coaches' media event. Before the four coaches took questions, they took a picture with the ultimate prize; the Memorial Cup. None of them touched it of course.

Zach Fucale, goalie for your Halifax Mooseheads was named yesterday morning as CHL Goalie of the Week with a 2-1 record last week and a goals against average of 2.35. He was also named Goalie of the Week after the first week of April. Ty Rattie of the Portland Winterhawks was named CHL Player of the Week.

Good luck to the Halifax Mooseheads. First game is Saturday against Portland.
