How will the Mooseheads end their season? It's going to be quite tricky to finish the year with a big win streak but with a couple of victories this weekend, your Halifax Mooseheads can allow themselves to be in a better position come playoff time. They'll be looking to snap a 2 game losing streak and a team that is last in the league should be a perfect time to get their confidence back and break the streak. However, the Herd have had a hard time this season against divisional foes. The good news for the team is that they will be getting goaltender Eric Brassard back in the lineup tonight when they visit the Acadie-Bathurst Titan. He'll be returning from a lower-body injury that happened in late January. Another good thing is that the top line of Timo Meier, Danny Moynihan and Nikolaj Ehlers has been clicking but unfortunately has produced most of the team's offence the past month and a half. If the Herd want to move up the standings, they'll need to get some more production from their other lines especially the 3rd and 4th ones.

This is the 9th and last meeting between these two teams. Halifax has a record of 5-3-0-0 against the Titan while Bathurst has a 3-2-2-1 record against the Mooseheads this year. The Mooseheads exploded for a 7-4 victory on home ice in the last meeting which was 9 days ago. Nikolaj Ehlers led Halifax with a goal and 4 assists while former Moose Andrew Ryan led the Titan with a goal and 3 assists for Acadie-Bathurst.

Overall Records
Mooseheads: 30-27-4-2 = 66 points (4th in Maritimes division, 12th overall)
Titan: 15-42-5-2 = 37 points (6th in Maritimes division, 18th overall)

Leading Scorers
BAT: Mark Simpson 39pts (14G & 25A), Andrew Ryan 38pts (17G & 21A), Raphael Corriveau 30pts (19G & 11A)
HFX: Nikolaj Ehlers 94pts (35G & 59A), Timo Meier 86pts (42G & 44A), Danny Moynihan 63pts (28G & 35A)

Halifax is coming off a tough 5-4 loss to provincial rivals, Cape Breton on Sunday. The Moose were once again led by Nikolaj Ehlers who scored a hat trick and assisted on the other tallie while Kevin Resop made 29 saves against the Screaming Eagles to take the loss.

Bathurst is coming off a loss on home ice to Charlottetown in a makeup game that was played on Wednesday night. Christophe Boivin scored both goals for the Titan while Daniel Voutour stopped 31 of the Islanders 36 shots.
