RECAP: Deja Vu

FINAL: Wildcats at Mooseheads 0
Stars: 3. Resop HAL | 2. Lalonde MON | 1. Dubeau MON
Attendance: 8,433
MC's Top Herd: Kevin Resop

HALIFAX: It was déjà vu during the Mooseheads home opener on Friday night. The visiting team was the same, there was another Kevin in net and the outcome was pretty much the same. A year ago, on September 12, Halifax opened the season with a game against the Moncton Wildcats and were shutout while backup Kevin Darveau let in 4 goals. Fast forward to last night, the Cats once again helped your Herd open the home part of the season and for the second year in a row Alex Dubeau held Halifax to 0 goals. Kevin Resop made some pretty nice saves when the team needed him to and gave the Moose a chance to get back in the game quite a few times but scoring disappeared.

The Chronicle Herald's recap: The Moncton Wildcats spoiled the party for the Halifax Mooseheads Friday night at the Scotiabank Centre.

Metro Halifax's recap: The Halifax Mooseheads got off to a slow start Friday night against the Moncton Wildcats, and never quite picked up the pace, losing 3-0 before a hometown crowd eager to see their young team take to the ice for the first time this season.

halifaxmooseheads.ca's recap: No doubt this was not the way the Mooseheads had hoped to open the home portion of the 2014-2015 QMJHL season with a 3-0 loss to the Moncton Wildcats at the newly minted Scotiabank Centre.

The Canadian Press' recap: Alex Dubeau made 29 saves as Moncton blanked Halifax.

The Q News' recap: The Moncton Wildcats posted a 3-0 victory Friday night in Halifax on a game that had to give the fans a serious case of déjà vu at the newly named Scotiabank Centre.
