BATHURST: It's going to be a different year. The Acadie-Bathurst played their first game in their new uniforms and in front of an almost sold out crowd, showed that teams can be different each year. Last season, your Halifax Mooseheads defeated the Titan 9 times out of nine games but got off to a very rough start this season. Titan Jacob Brennan back stopped his team to a 4-1 win and Christophe Boivin scored 2 goals against Mooseheads rookie goaltender Kevin Resop. Acadie-Bathurst got out to a 3-0 lead before captain Ryan Falkenham scored to break the shutout with less than 5 minutes left.

The Chronicle Herald's recap: The Halifax Mooseheads will have to wait at least one more day for their first win of the season.

Metro Halifax's recap: The Mooseheads were almost shut out by the Titan in their season opener on the road Friday night, but captain Ryan Falkenham stepped up late in the game to score Halifax's lone goal, his leadership providing a bright spot in a disappointing 4-1 loss to Bathurst.
