Leading rookie scorer of your Halifax Mooseheads and the QMJHL Nikolaj Ehlers was named an alternate captain of Team Orr at the BMO CHL Top Prospects Game.
The game, which pits the top 40 National Hockey League draft eligible prospects against each other, will be played on January 15 in Calgary, Alberta. This year there's only one Mooseheads player playing in the game. Halifax hosted last year's event and had three players in the game. With a game postponed last week, Ehlers will have to miss the makeup game which is also being played on Wednesday.
