CAMP: Rookies to arrive Tuesday

A new season is almost upon us and nothing is more evident to that than your Halifax Mooseheads releasing their training camp schedule today. The team announced this afternoon that rookies will be arriving on Tuesday with registration and medicals taken place that afternoon. Halifax's camp will be different than recent years with the addition of the HubCity Showcase for maritime teams. There will still be intrasquad games in the first week of camp and the first cuts are expected to be made before veterans report on August 22.

Here's the schedule for the first 2 weeks:
August 16
3-5pm                Player registration

August 17
10-10:50am       Team Red practice
11-11:50am       Team Green practice
3-5pm                Red vs. Green intrasquad game

August 18
10am-noon        Red vs. Green intrasquad game
4-6pm                Red vs. Green intrasquad game

August 19-21
HubCity Showcase rookie tournament

August 22
10am-noon        Practice

August 23
10--10:50am      Team Red practice
11-11:50am       Team Green practice
4-6pm                Red vs. Green intrasquad game

August 24
7pm                    Pre-season game - Mooseheads @ Screaming Eagles

August 25 & 26
10am-noon         Practice
4-6pm                 Practice

August 28
10-noon              Practice
3pm                    Pre-season game - Islanders vs. Mooseheads (Halifax Forum)

All practices and intrasquad games are being held at Cole Harbour Place and are open to the public free of charge.
