Moose On Canada Selection Camp Roster

Hockey Canada announced the roster for their selection camp that will determine the final team who will participate in the 2024 World Juniors. Out of the thirty players named, 4 of them come from your Halifax Mooseheads.

To (I think) no one's surprise, 19-year-old forward Jordan Dumais was invited to the camp and will be joined by goaltender Mathis Rousseau, defenceman Jake Furlong and forward Markus Vidicek. The selection camp will take place December 10-13 in Oakville, ON and includes practices and a pair of games against a team of U-Sports all-stars.

"We are excited to name the 30 players who will embark on the journey through camp and eventually on to the World Juniors," said Peter Anholt. "Canada has an incredible talent pool of players, and there are always difficult decisions to narrow it down. We are expecting a highly competitive camp, and we look forward to naming our final roster that will wear the Maple Leaf with pride starting on Boxing Day."

A total of 8 players from the QMJHL will participate in the camp while the roster consists of four goaltenders, 10 defenceman and 16 forwards. The 2024 World Junior Championship will take place from December 26-January 5, 2024 in Gothenburg, Sweden.

Congratulations and good luck at camp to our four guys as well as everyone battling it out for a roster spot.
