Rousseau Fantastic Despite Loss

Rookie goaltender Mathis Rousseau was a beast on Tuesday night unfortunately it couldn't help the Halifax Mooseheads get a victory. The 17-year-old made 48 saves enroute to a second star performance against the Acadie-Bathurst Titan, who won 4-3 in Moose Country. Seattle Kraken draft selection Jacob Melanson got the bad guys on the board first at the11:30 mark of the opening frame. Less than two minutes later, Zack Jones roofed the puck to tie the game up and that's how the period would end. The Herd were lucky to get out of the frame with a 1-1 score as Bathurst outshot the home team 26-3. The Titan would continue their pressure in the middle frame and led after 40 minutes 3-2. Player of the week Jordan Dumais scored twice during the game, including in the third as Halifax tried to tie the game again to force overtime.
