The 18 year old scored two nice goals on Tuesday afternoon to propel his Czech Republic team to the semi finals at the 2018 World Juniors in Buffalo, USA. Czech Republic went into their quarter-final match up against Finland as the under dogs but were victorious in a shootout, winning 4-3. Zadina got the Czechs on the board first just 6:20 into the game with a power play goal but in the second period, the Finns bounced back with two goals before Kristian Riechel tied it for the white, blue and red. In the third, Filip tipped in the puck with under 3 minutes to go in regulation to send the match to overtime.
The Czechs now wait the winner of the Canada-Switzerland game. Good luck to Zadina and the Czechs in the semi finals.
