Earlier today, the Halifax Mooseheads announced their second trade of the winter trading period. The team traded defenceman Jordan Lepage to the Rimouski Oceanic for a first round draft pick in 2018. With this trade, it clears up the backlog on the back end since the trade for Jake Ryzeck from the Titan.

The Mooseheads originally drafted Jordan in the 3rd round in 2015. In 88 games with the Mooseheads which also includes 6 playoff games, the 18-year-old registered 1 goal and 19 assists as well as 162 penalty minutes. The Rimouski native missed the first 19 games due to offseason hip surgery. The Oceanic and Mooseheads have not played a game against each other yet this season, the first game is set for February 19th which is the Family Day matinee.

All the best in Rimouski Jordan!
