Scotiabank Centre (10,595) ~ Halifax, NS
Back at home! Your Halifax Mooseheads are back on Scotiabank Centre ice tonight for the first student night of the season. The Herd have played 7 of their last eight games on the road but will now play 5 straight at home, the team's longest homestand this year. Halifax has been really good to start the year in Moose Country, going without a regulation loss in seven games and the boys will try to keep that streak going when they host the Baie-Comeau Drakkar this evening. The Drakkar have been okay on the road this season and are in the midst of a three game - 3 day Atlantic trip. Baie-Comeau will have to deal with one of the top goaltenders in the league in Blade Mann-Dixon and the return of veteran defensemen Walter Flower and Jordan Lepage.
This is the first game of the season between the two teams. Halifax was 0-1-0-1 against the Drakkar last year while Baie-Comeau had a 2-0-0-0 record versus the Mooseheads in 2016-17. The last match was back on January 20 in Moose Country where Baie-Comeau received 2 goals from Jordan Martel to lead the team to a 7-4 win. Blade Mann-Dixon took the loss stopping 22 shots after taking over for Alexis Gravel who started for Halifax.
