Big Night for the Mooseheads in Gatineau

Tonight's game had some milestones in it, where it saw Benoit-Olivier Groulx have a big homecoming to rookie sensation Filip Zadina recording his first career hat trick. It was also announced tonight during the game that captain Max Fortier has signed an entry-level deal with the Columbus Blue Jackets. As we all have seen the last few years, this is a well deserving contract for the captain. This was a big effort out of the team where they lost the first game of this road trip to Quebec on Wednesday night. This game saw a complete team effort. Combined for most of the scoring it saw Max Fortier and Filip Zadina factor for 5G & 2A it was a treat for the Moosehead faithful that made the trip to see the team play. There was some solid goaltending from Blade Mann-Dixon that kept the Moose lead at times especially when the Herd took a 5 on 3 powerplay. The penalty kill stayed strong as they went 6 for 6 on the kill. The Mooseheads will look to finish the trip up strong as they head to Drummondville to take on the Volts tomorrow.
