Sorrentino, Defence Help Moose Win

In maybe one of the best game they've had all season, the Halifax Mooseheads defeated a team that was 9 points ahead of them while ending a 6 game losing streak. Kevin Resop had a great game, looking very strong in net the whole 60 minutes but also getting help from his defense. Even though the shots against were still kind of high, there were plenty that didn't get through and when they did Resop was there to stop them in a 5-1 victory over the Sherbrooke Phoenix. Forward Anthony Sorrentino got a few lucky stick touches as he scored his first career hat trick which included him tipping in two goals. The whole game you could tell that both teams wanted to end their losing streaks but Halifax native Evan Fitzpatrick wasn't as strong as his counterpart on Sunday evening. Sherbrooke did not look very pleased that they were down 2-1 after 20 minutes against a team lower than them in the standings, with the Phoenix trying to get the Herd in trouble. Sometimes it worked but a couple of times the away team shouldn't have tried to pick a fight with the home team, Dominik Blain taking down Nicolas Poulin being a good example.
