That's how you end a homestand! Both teams looked like they wanted to put a stop to their losing streaks and for one it happened. Your Halifax Mooseheads skated away with a 2-0 victory this evening with Eric Brassard picking up the 31 save shutout. The Mooseheads have played the last five games on home ice but lost the last 3 in big ways. It was a much better game tonight for Brassard and the Herd after a disappointing one on Tuesday night where they let in 4 goals in the first 18 minutes, prompting Dom Ducharme to pull Eric. Halifax and Quebec went a period and a half without a goal or penalties happening. Max Fortier and Connor Moynihan crashed the net in a desperate move by the Moose to score on the powerplay. Moynihan received the rebound and potted it in the back of the net to give the home team a 1-0 lead with 44 seconds left. The Remparts immediately pulled their goalie to tie the game but Andrew Shewfelt shot the puck in the empty net from centre ice sending Moose Country home happy.
