A year after being sent back to your Halifax Mooseheads, the 19 year old has impressed the big team enough to start his first season as a pro. Ehlers was drafted in the 2014 NHL entry draft by the Jets and went to the team's development and rookie camps last summer before being reassigned to the Herd. During his sophomore year with Halifax, the Danish forward had another shortened season but still finished 3rd in league scoring. Nikolaj was back in Winnipeg this summer, attending the rookie camp again punching his ticket to main camp and a spot on the 2015-16 roster.
