A Team Effort In Moose Win Over Wildcats

Halifax kept the momentum going that they had coming into this game as they came out on top against their division rivals; the Moncton Wildcats. The Herd had some secondary scoring with each of the five goals being scored by different players. The Mooseheads had an early goal called off for it being put in the net with a hand pass but after that Max Fortier drew a penalty and scored on the power play to lead the game 1-0. Arnaud Durandeau added another goal for Halifax before the first period was over. In the second Andrew Shewfelt scored a nice goal from a beauty of a pass from Vince Watt, then before the end of the period Danny Moynihan added a goal on the power play to take a 4-0 lead. In the third Otto Somppi scored his first goal of the season on home ice which came on a 5 on 3 power play for the Herd. Eric Brassard lost his shut out bid with 9:52 left in the game when Moncton scored their first of the night and would score one more before the end of the period. It was a very physical game for the rivalry week match up. Eric Brassard made some big saves to keep his team in the game.
