Memorial Cup hosts out

The hosts of the 2013 Memorial Cup are out of the playoffs after being swept in four games last night. The #2 Saskatoon Blades were playing the #7 Medicine Hat Tigers in the first round and lost 4 games to none. The team will now have a month and a half break before playing games once again.

This is the second straight year that the hosts have had a long rest before being able to play in the Memorial Cup. Last year, the Shawinigan Cataractes lost in the second round 4 games to 2 and after a just over a month break they went on to win the championship that they were hosting. As a Moose fan hopefully the Blades won't have that same luck.
