Gameday 58: vs. Cape Breton

PREVIEW
- We are into March already which means that playoffs are just around the corner but there are still 10 games remaining in the regular season. Our Halifax Mooseheads will look to finish the regular season strong and it continues tonight as the Cape Breton Eagles come to town. The Herd have already locked up a playoff position as well as the Maritimes division title. In November, I did not think I would be saying that in March. Despite the 37 point gap between these two teams, I expect that it will not be an easy game for the home team as Cape Breton is fighting for a playoff spot still. Tonight's matchup will be a special one as Halifax will be wearing military themed jerseys for DND Appreciation Night. Mooseheads forward Jordan Dumais is running away with the points title with 112 points currently which is more than what he had a season ago, but is followed by teammate Alexandre Doucet in the race. Doucet, who signed an NHL contract earlier this week, showed the Detroit Red Wings that they made a smart decision as he recorded a hat trick and an assist on Thursday night in his first game after the signing.
