L'Heureux Leads Halifax Past Huskies

Our Halifax Mooseheads were able to get some payback on the visiting Rouyn-Noranda Huskies after the Huskies won the first meeting between these two teams last week. The Mooseheads skated to a 5-2 victory tonight on the back of Zachary L'Heureux who had two goals. It didn't take long for L'Heureux to get on the home team on the board as he scored his 7th of the season just 1:54 into the first period. Sophomore Jordan Dumais had an unassisted goal 49 seconds later to give Halifax the 2-0 lead. Rouyn-Noranda pushed back a bit in the second half of the opening period and made it a 2-1 game after 20 minutes. Even though Halifax dominating in shots during the middle frame it seemed to me that they played below the level of the Huskies in that 20 minutes. Zach's second of the night extended the Herd's lead as they outshot Rouyn 18-4 in the second period but the clubs went to the dressing room with the boys in green up 3-2. Robert Orr picked up the insurance goal at the 3:54 mark of the third and Rouyn-Noranda took their second loss in as many nights.
