The Halifax Mooseheads released the 2019-20 regular season schedule.

Probably to no one's surprise, the Herd will hit the road to open the season. Halifax will travel to Saint John to take on the Sea Dogs, a game that will be played on September 20 with puck dropping at 7:00pm.

Other highlights from the schedule:
  • The Mooseheads hit the Scotiabank Centre ice for the first time of the season in a game against the Charlottetown Islanders which will begin at 7pm for the team's home opener. A new scoreboard should be hanging from the rafters during this match
  • Halifax will have their first Quebec road trip at the beginning of October when they visit the Drummondville Voltigeurs, Chicoutimi Sagueneens and Baie-Comeau Drakkar from October 2-5
  • For the sixth straight year, the Herd will play on New Year's Eve but this year it will not be against Cape Breton. They'll host the Saint John Sea Dogs at 2pm on December 31 so you can still go out and ring in 2020 afterwards
  • The Moose's longest home stand will be five games (December 31-January 12) while their longest road trip will be 4 games (March 10-18)
  • Halifax's final match of the season will see them host their division rivals; the Moncton Wildcats on March 21 in an early evening game. Puck drop at 4pm
