The Saint John Sea Dogs once again had the first overall pick this year after winning the coin flip last month. After 15 year old Joseph Veleno received word that he got exceptional status, no surprise the Dogs picked him in the #1 spot. Cape Breton selected the first Nova Scotia born player 4th overall in Shane Bowers.
Congratulations to the new Mooseheads players and to all the young boys who were drafted today by the 18 teams.
