Game Day 6: vs Victoriaville

PREVIEW
 - For the first time this season, a Quebec based team will be in Moose Country as the Victoriaville Tigres are in town tonight to take on our Halifax Mooseheads. After starting the season off rocky, the Herd have won three straight since getting the services of their four NHL drafted players back last week. Veteran goaltender Mathis Rousseau was named to the QMJHL team of the week on Monday and followed that up with his first shutout of the year on Wednesday. Rookie Lou Levesque was also named to the team after posting two goals and 5 points in two games played. The 17-year-old has played well proving that the club made the right choice in keeping him on the regular roster. The Tigres are one of the top scoring teams to begin the season and as such they boast having the league leading scorers in Tommy Cormier and Justin Larose. We should have a good contest on our hands this evening for Eastlink's Friday night hockey.

Overall records
Tigres: 3-2-0-0 = 6 points (3rd in Central division, 10th overall)
Mooseheads: 3-2-0-0 = 6 points (2nd in Maritimes division, 9th overall)

Top 3 scorers
HAL: Logan Crosby 7pts (3G & 4A), Lou Levesque 6pts (2G & 4A), Mathieu Cataford 6pts (1G & 5A)
VIC: Tommy Cormier 10pts (1G & 9A), Justin Larose 9pts (5G & 4A), Maxime Pellerin 6pts (1G & 5A)

Head-to-head
This is the first matchup of the season between these two teams. Last year, Halifax had a 1-0-1-0 record against the Tigres. The Mooseheads won the last game 5-2 in Victoriaville with Jordan Dumais scoring two goals and 3 points.

Last games
Victoriaville is coming off a 5-3 win on Thursday night in Moncton to start their Maritime road trip. The Tigres' Tommy Cormier led the team with a goal and four points while Gabriel D'Aigle made 32 saves against the Wildcats to pick up the victory.
