Banner Raised.

Jody Shelley, Jason King and Travis Randell came back to where it all began for them to help raise the championship banners with your 2013-14 Halifax Mooseheads on opening night. With the banners raised it was time to defend them in front of the city of Halifax. However, just like a lot of teams on banner raising night, the Mooseheads looked like they still had the ceremony on their mind losing in the home opener for the second year in a row. Moncton Wildcat player Cody Drover scored the first goal of the season to give the Cats a 1-0 lead at 10:53 of the first period. Most times goaltenders don't have penalties, maybe one or two in a season. Well Kevin Darveau has two already through one game as he took 2 delay of game penalties for playing the puck outside of the trapezoid.

FINAL: Wildcats 4 at Mooseheads 0
